Scalable Vector Graphics

VECTOR ANATOMY
GRAPHICS

We were tasked with replicating a series of shaded monotone images using entirely scaleable, resolution-independent vectors so that the images could be reproduced on a huge scale, the tallest filling the full height of an atrium. The original bitmap images would have looked horribly pixellated at this size, but our vector graphics lost no detail when printed. The images below give an idea of the complexity of the vector wireframe graphics required to make these shaded images, and yet at the same time their elegant simplicity compared to the bitmap versions.
